Over the past year, many women have reached out to me with a similar feeling.
They are standing at the threshold of a new chapter of life.
Retirement is approaching, or has already arrived. Children are grown. The pace of life is changing. And questions begin to arise:
Who am I now?
What matters most in this stage of life?
How do I care for my health, my body, and my spirit as I grow older?
These are profound questions.
And they are not meant to be explored alone.
Over the past several months I have been focusing primarily on one-on-one coaching and teaching through the University of Utah’s Lifelong Learning Program for people 50 and better. It has been deeply meaningful work.
Many of these conversations have confirmed something I’ve long believed:
Women benefit enormously from having a safe and supportive circle where they can reflect, share, and grow together.
So I’ve decided to create something new.
I am launching a small Zoom coaching circle for women who are navigating the transitions of midlife and beyond — retirement, aging, health, purpose, and the deeper question of how we want to live the next chapter of our lives.
The spirit of this group is not about fixing ourselves.
It is about listening.
Listening to our bodies.
Listening to our inner wisdom.
Listening to one another.
My approach is inspired by the compassionate philosophy of self-reflection and self-love taught by authors like Louise Hay and the understanding that the body often carries messages we have not yet learned to hear.
In our time together we will explore topics such as:
• our relationship with our bodies and health
• life transitions and identity shifts
• emotional patterns that shape our lives
• the wisdom that emerges as we age
• learning to treat ourselves with compassion rather than criticism
The group will meet on Zoom, which allows women to join from anywhere.
In fact, some of the people I’ve coached have lived in different states and even other countries. The technology allows us to gather in meaningful ways regardless of geography.
Most important, I will be keeping the group intentionally small so it remains personal, reflective, and supportive.
If you feel drawn to this kind of circle, I would love to hear from you.
And if you know another woman who might benefit from this kind of community, please feel free to share this with her.
We are not meant to walk these transitions alone.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer one another is simply a circle of listening.
With warmth,
Sandi
