As this month comes to a close, I pause.
Not to measure or judge—but to listen.
Over time, I’ve come to value a simple but powerful practice:
an end-of-month reflection.
Not as a report card.
Not as a checklist of what I did right or wrong.
But as a way of asking:
What worked?
What went well?
What would I like more of?
Because where attention goes, energy flows.
And what we focus on… we begin to create.
Choosing What to See
I’ve learned that I am always creating my reality—whether consciously or unconsciously.
So I choose to focus on:
- What felt aligned
- What brought me joy
- What expanded me
- What is already here
Rather than what’s missing.
This is not bypassing.
This is intentional focus.
And at the center of that focus is gratitude.
Gratitude for everything.
Even the moments that tested me.
Especially those.
Reframing Challenges
What I once called “problems,”
I now see as opportunities.
Opportunities to pause.
To listen.
To grow.
Because life is always speaking.
The question is:
Am I willing to hear it?
Leaning In Instead of Escaping
There was a time when discomfort sent me outward.
Into:
- Food
- Scrolling
- Distraction
- Overworking
- Over-exercising
Anything to avoid what I was feeling.
But through my own inner work—and my training as a coach—
I’ve learned something different.
I’ve learned to lean in.
To sit with the discomfort.
To turn toward it instead of away.
And to gently ask:
What is the message?
What do I need to know?
What is this here to teach me?
And what is the next aligned step?
This applies not only to emotional discomfort,
but to physical sensations as well.
The body is always communicating.
The Practice of Becoming
This is what I call Whispers of Becoming.
A practice of:
- Listening instead of reacting
- Choosing instead of defaulting
- Creating instead of controlling
A way of meeting your life with curiosity,
rather than judgment.
🌿 Closing
As I move into a new month, I carry forward what feels true.
I release what no longer serves.
And I anchor into this:
I choose to focus on what is working.
I choose gratitude.
I choose growth.
I choose to listen.
Because I am not here to get life right.
I am here to become.
Invitation
If this resonates with you,
I invite you to try your own end-of-month reflection.
And if you feel called to go deeper,
I’ve opened space again for 1:1 coaching—
a place where we explore these questions together,
with presence, depth, and truth.
With warmth,
Sandi Greene
