When Triggers Become Teachers

Yesterday, I was reminded how quickly old patterns can rise up. A simple financial hiccup stirred something deeper — that familiar urge to tighten my grip, to control, to spiral into scarcity thinking.

But here’s the truth I want to share with you: triggers are not punishments, they are invitations. They invite us to pause, to lean in with compassionate curiosity, and to notice what still lives in our subconscious.

I realized my reaction wasn’t about the charge on my account. It was about the story underneath — the old belief that I am unsafe if I’m not in control. That story once defined me. It does not anymore.

Here’s what I know now:

  • I am not powerless.
  • My worth is not measured by what I lose or what I hold onto.
  • True abundance is built on trust — trust in myself, in my gifts, and in the universe’s perfect accounting system.

And this is what I want you to hear: you are not defined by your old story either. Every time we meet a trigger with compassion instead of judgment, we create space for a new story to take root.

Today, choose gratitude. choose joy. Choose to see even the hard moments as stepping stones into a life of blissful abundance.

And I choose to share this with you, because when we live authentically and vulnerably — without drowning in details — we lead by example. We show others that transformation is possible.

Remember — Power isn’t about controlling the outcome. It’s about staying conscious in the middle of the storm. Vulnerability alchemized is power. Consciousness is power. That’s how we rise.
